Ira's pov ~
Finally we reached the bus stop and boarded the bus. I and vanshu had almost missed the bus. And to be honest I was the one to do the things late. Our bus was at 12:30 pm.
I had to woke up at 7:00. But sleep clung to me longer than it should. I woke up at 8:00. I had 4 hours to complete all my works, clean my room, wash my clothes, take a bath and write a mail to the authority for the holidays. And my maid called me that time and said the she is taking an off today means I had to do the dishes also.
I completed all my works and household chores in 3 hours. Now the main thing was left. THE MAIL and I'm such a fucking dumbass who literally forgot the mail format. I searched for it but nothing was suitable. After much struggle I remembered of my boyfriend chat GPT. I commanded to make a mail ready. And I copied it.
It was already 12:00 and I had to run. I finally walked out of my room. I had to lock my room and I was searching for the keys. As mentioned before I'm a dumbass. The keys were in my hand and I was searching for it.
After sometime finally my brain worked and I saw the keys were in my hand whole the time. So finally I locked my room and ran to the dhaba. Vanshika was already standing there. We ordered chole bhature. Vanshika ate first. And I.....I was slow eater it takes me hours to complete my food. And that's why we almost missed our bus.

We finally reached home. Maa was standing at the entrance like she was waiting for us only. "Namaste maa." I greeted. "Where were you I was waiting for you." She started yelling at me. Before I could say anything she cut off "Aunty we are late because of this 'glorious' daughter of yours has an extraordinary talent of doing everything the wrong way" she said dramatically throwing her hands up. Maa shouted at me again. She was right it was because of me but I don't think it was the right time to say it
"Ab use andar bhi ane do maa. kitna daantoge?"(let her come in maa. How much will you scold here?) A voice cut off maa. It was Karan bhai. I ran in and hugged him. He hugged me back. "Tujhe itna late kyun hua?" He asked breaking the hug. "Wo....." I started. "Tu chodh wo baat abhi. Jaa fresh ho ja" bhai said. I wanted to meet papa.
"Where is papa?" I asked. "He got a call and most probably he is at balcony." I ran toward balcony. I loved papa more than anyone in this world. He was the one who always supported me in my every decision. He had never went against my decisions.
Papa was standing at balcony having a call with someone. "Hume kaise bhi karke Akshay singhaniya aur unke family ko bulana padega. "(At any cost we need to invite Akshay singhaniya and his family.) "Papa..." I called him from back. He turned. He cut the call and walked toward me.
"Papa yeh Akshay singhaniya kon hai?" I asked him little confused I never heard that name before in our home. And I can see papa was tensed when that name came out of my mouth. "Koi nhi. Tu woh chodh aur bata sahi se ayi hai toh khin koi problem toh nhi hui na?" He asked trying to change the topic. I didn't force him to say about that person.
"Hnn sahi se ayi hoon." I replied letting him change the topic.
"Theek hai ab jaa fresh ho jaa aur madat karde sabki aj mehndi hai toh kaam mein thoda help chahiye hi hoga na." He said and I nodded in response.

After getting fresh I went to help maa and the works. It's already 4:00 pm and mehndi function was to start at 6:00 pm. Bhabi's name is Rashi. Her family will soon be here. So we need to complete everything in time. And Karan bhai was not ready yet.
I ran to his room. "KARAN BHAI WHY AREN'T YOU READY?" I shouted. "Just going meri maa." He said with a teasing voice. I ignored it and stepped out of the room.

I was doing my own makeup. I wore a forest green lehnga having some flower works on it in yellow and orange colours. And with that I wore an emerald set. And green golden bangles. I had a green hand purse.
After I was done with my makeup I went down stairs.
Vanshika wore a light green and yellow lehnga. The top was yellow with green leaves and her skirt was of light green having flowers in it and the dupatta was of yellow green blend colour. She was looking damn awesome. When I saw vir bhai he was staring at vanshika without even blinking.
Karan bhai was sitting next to Rashi di. He was wearing a deep forest green kurta pajama with emerald handworks and
Rashi di was wearing a matching lehnga with a golden and deep green set. These couples looked like perfect couples.
Finally the program started and first performance was mine. A solo performance because when I asked Vanshika she said Vir bhai and her were the partners. So I decided to give a solo performance. My performance was on 'deewani mastani - Bajirao Mastani'
After my performance it was the turn of Vanshika and Vir bhai. There song was 'Rataan Lambiya - shershaah.' One of the best performances. Then we planned to call maa and papa to dance. First they denied but after little forcing them they agreed. They chose the song 'Aja sanam Madhuri chandini mein hum - chori chori' the 90s duo performing on 70s song. The best thing I ever saw. Maa and papa used to dance together at their early times.
Then some singers performed. And we sat together to apply mehndi in our hands. And we also teased Rashi di and Karan bhai. It was a love marriage. They both loved each other since their high school. And now they are getting married. It's very rare to see two childhood love birds getting married.

It's almost 10 pm and the function is over. Tomorrow is Karan bhai's wedding. At morning we will have the haldi rasam and then the marriage.
Everyone is excited but papa....he looked little teased as if something is bothering him.
I went to his room.
"Papa, may I come in?" I asked and in response he nodded. I sat beside him. " what is the matter?" I asked. "What?" He looked at me with confusion. "Why are you looking so worried while everyone else are happy. If there is something you can share it. And watching you after you took Akshay singhaniya's name you are worried. Is there something about him bothering you?" I asked him with concern. Because papa is a jolly kind of person always happy and joyful. But he is tensed now means there is something about that person.
"Arey there is nothing beta. I was just feeling sad because I can't even know how the time passed and you all grew up so fast. That's the matter. And that Akshay singhaniya he is just a person I wanted to invite that's it. Why should I be bothered about him?" I nodded in response. But still I feel something odd about him. He was hiding something.
"Now go and sleep we have the wedding tomorrow. Just go and take rest there are many things you need to do as a sister. So go and sleep. Good night." He pulled me out of my thoughts. "Good night" I responded and went to my room.

It was around 6 am and we were arranging things for haldi rasam. Karan bhai was at his room getting ready for the rasam. Maa was at the cooking area. A the cooks were making the breakfast for the relatives and guests. Me and Vanshika were decorating the area for rasam. And Vir bhai was helping the workers in arranging the tubs for bath and papa's busy in re-inviting guests.
Afer the arrangements we all went to get ready. I was wearing a yellow and orange bordered lehnga having simple works on it. With that I wore yellow bangles, yellow earrings and yellow necklace with a yellow maangtika.
Maa was wearing a yellow saree with green border and green stones were decorated all over the saree as a final touch she was wearing a simple set of yellow and green bangles in her hands. Maa papa were matching there outfits.
Karan bhai wore a yellow kurta and white pant and Rashi di wore a light yellow lehnga with light ink border. With that she wore the flower ornaments. A yellow-pink flower set. Which suites her outfit.
